Wow!
What a wild and crazy weekend! It all started on Friday afternoon when Chrissy picked me up. Angie (we met Angie and Heather at the Cincy show 3 years ago and we've been buds ever since) was in town for a hockey tournament so we decided we'd all get together and have a couple of girls nights out.
Unfortunately Angie's team lost but man can that girl play! Did I mention that she plays on a men's team? Yup and she kicks some serious butt too! She had a goal and an assist. Woo hoo!
After Friday night's game we went to The Claddagh which is an Irish pub that chrissy and I scoped out a couple of years ago when Ricky Warwick was in town. We went to the Saturday morning game and then hung out at Chrissy's for the afternoon. Her grandmother made an awesome lunch for us and we listened to Angie play the guitar for a while.
Late Saturday afternoon we did a little bit of shopping, I got some candles and I almost came home with a cockatiel but I figured Scott would have a screaming fit so I passed. We dropped Angie off for her third game and then I needed to hit an ATM. That's when I nearly got Chrissy and I killed. See as we were driving through the parking lot, an SUV stopped and parked right in front of us. Not in a parking spot mind you, but in one of the driving lanes. There was a crowd of mostly guys standing there and one of them yelled something about "don't mind him he's from Canada" only his tags were from Michigan. Well my Buckeye pride kicked in to high gear and I yelled "Michigan sucks!" at the top of my lungs. Turns out most of the guys in the crowd were from ............... Michigan. Ooops! Thank goodness by the time we got back for the game, they were leaving!
After that we went to Lonestar and we managed to not get kicked out! another big Woo Hoo! It was an awesome weekend though I'm afraid Angie is going to need some serious therapy after spending a weekend with us. While we were shopping Ang called Heather and we all talked to her for a bit and I'm certain at one point I heard Angie whisper "send help!".
Gosh I miss Angie and Chrissy already!
